How we verify broker data
This site is only useful if you can trust it, so every fact on a broker page can be traced to where it came from. Here is how that works.
Where the data comes from
- The PSX register of brokers. Each broker's licence number (TREC), legal name, category and registered office come from the list of trading-right entitlement certificate holders published by the Pakistan Stock Exchange.
- PSX monthly top-10 lists. Rankings are the Pakistan Stock Exchange's own lists, reproduced as published. We do not score, rate or re-order brokers ourselves.
- The broker's own material. Its website, tariff or commission sheets, shareholding statements, account-opening forms and financial disclosure listings. We read public pages only; we never log in or submit forms.
- App stores. Public Google Play and Apple App Store listings, to see which apps a broker offers and who publishes them.
What we record for each fact
For every fee, owner, person, service or technology partner we keep the value, the exact words or figure as the source printed it, a link to the source, the date we checked it, and how confident we are. Fees are shown as the broker wrote them, because brokers use different units and some publish only a range.
How facts are checked
- Software checks that every quoted wording really appears in the saved copy of the source page or document, so a fact cannot be added from memory or guesswork.
- Numbers are sanity-checked (for example, a commission quoted in the wrong unit is flagged).
- Facts read from a scanned image or PDF are marked for a person to check, and we label them on the page until they have been.
- A person reviews a broker's data before its page is published here.
What "not published yet" means
When a page says details have not been published, it means we do not have a reviewed, sourced figure to show. It is not a judgement about the broker. Some brokers publish no fee schedule at all; others publish it only inside a form or image. Where we cannot read something reliably, we leave it out rather than guess.
What we do not do
- We do not give investment advice or recommend a broker.
- We do not invent rankings. Rankings are PSX's lists.
- We do not copy a broker's marketing claims as facts. Promises of returns, for example, are never recorded as fact.
Keeping it current
Rankings are updated when PSX publishes its monthly lists. Broker details are re-checked from time to time, and each profile shows the date its data was last checked. Brokers change their fees and details without notice, so confirm anything important with the broker before you act.

Common questions
How is the broker data on this site verified?
Each fact is recorded with the exact words or figure from the broker's own published material (or the PSX), a link to that source and the date it was checked. Software confirms every quote appears in the saved source, and every broker's facts are reviewed before its page is published.
How often is the data updated?
PSX rankings are updated monthly when the exchange publishes them. Broker details are re-checked periodically, and each profile shows the date its facts were last checked.
What does it mean when a fee is marked as the PSX minimum?
The broker publishes PSX notice PSX/N-1258, the exchange-wide standard range (3 paisa per share or 0.15% of value, whichever is higher, up to 2.5%), rather than its own rate. It shows what may be charged, not what that broker will charge you.
